It was a cold wet night
There was noise at the street bend
They said they found you
At the back alley
Dress ripped to the hip
Red panty twisted at your right ankle
It looked swollen n stuffed in the black stiletto u wore.
Your head was thrown back
As if in euphoric ecstacy
But i guess it was the slash of your throat
Your hands were bound at your back
Some whispered snide remarks
They called you a whore
Even so they knew you not
They found your body ashore
Ears eyes nose lips all gone
You looked like a soaked loaf of bread
Bloated and bursting at the seams
No one reported you missing
Even the sea rejected you
And caused the angry waves to fish you out
There too they mumbled
You were the town's eating dish
Some spat in disgust
Oh these saintly Pharisees
They knew you not.
The horn blared loudly
Tires screeched
The voices shrieked loudly
You saw it coming
Yet you were too weak to keep moving
Now your brain sits, splattered on the road
Your rag clothed skinny self lay upon the street
Same place you made your bed
Now you lay there, dead
I can swear i heard them sigh
That of relief
Alas! That creepy beggar is no more
Hmmph! They also knew you not.
Three different women
Same fate
No one claimed you
So they gave you the same name tag.
