Whenever I met this one
That particular man
My soul would turn off
I could not decipher
Whether I felt anger
Pity
Or just plain indifference
Just the sight of him
Caused my gut to wrench
Then he told me he wanted to marry me
There and then the skies swirled above me
I woke up, dead!
The mere thought of being one with him
Oh lawd! It toppled me to an early grave
Right into his arms
For that’s how I got to know his name
DEATH!
